His experience leading complex organizations spans military, corporate and Cabinet-level positions while his focus delivers expertise on international affairs, national security, business strategies, risk assessment and the skills demanded to be an effective leader. As security analyst for NBC News, McCaffrey speaks clearly, powerfully and candidly on issues in the headlines including the latest events making news in the Middle East, Russia, Asia and Latin America. He continues to travel extensively to Iraq, Pakistan, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan both testifying to Congress and briefing the White House National Security Council staff, the Pentagon, the State Department, the Department of Homeland Security, and senior leaders in the Department of Health and Human Services. At his retirement from active duty, McCaffrey was the most highly decorated four-star general in the U.S. Army, having served four combat tours and having received three Purple Heart medals for wounds suffered in battle. America’s former drug czar for five years, McCaffrey has served on the West Point Faculty as a Professor of International Affairs and he is currently president of his own consulting firm.
